Yeah Baby - Tile!!!

We finished tiling our bedroom! I am so excited to finally have our whole house tiled. Here are some pictures of the tile - I had a hard time getting the room in perspective between what the camera would allow, and being blocked by the size of the room. Hopefully, this gives you a taste of it.

And we have moved back in! It felt great sleeping in our bedroom after being in the living room for these last weeks. Also, a teaser for you - see the current bedspread? I am making a new one that I hope to have done this spring. I bet you are all on pins and needles to see it!!

More Necklaces

So, I've been crazy about making necklaces lately and just had to share my most recent creations. Thanks to James who took these artistic pictures of my jewelry, they look way super cool.

I took a class at Main Street Bead Connection in Vancouver to make this red necklace. I was surprise how much like sewing it was. You had your thread, your needle and your beads. And you put beads on the thread and sewed them through each other to make the necklace. Now, I just need one in every color of the rainbow - heh heh.

Great game site for children

Orisinal is a wonderful site of free online games that my family has really enjoyed. The graphics are especially pleasing. They are simple and cartoon like, but rich in color and I love the small details put in. One of our family favorites is bell hopping.

Valentine Necklaces

With Valentine's Day approaching I wanted to make a few necklaces with this theme in mind. I had a lot of fun playing with color combos and here are the results.

Plant Light Frame Complete

It's done done done DONE!!!! And I can't wait to start using it, which will be immediately. I have tomato, pepper, and eggplants calling to me from their little seed packets. Thanks to James who did all the cutting and helped me put together the shop light it went together in no time at all. I'm so lucky to have such a helpful fellow, and a light frame too! I got the plan to follow from here and I like that I can add more levels on top of this one easily. One thing to note, it is a bit rickety so some strategic gluing will help strengthen it and still let you break it down for storage when the season is over. Happy Gardening!
